Working Closely With Homeowners Adds Personality to Home

One of our favorite things about building custom homes is working closely with homeowners. When the personality of a homeowner begins to show in the home, it becomes truly a custom home.

A home we are building in Sequim is infused with the personality of the homeowners. You can see it in the design and in the details.

The layout of the home will catch your attention. At 18 feet wide and 126 feet long and positioned to take in sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains, the home captures one of the biggest reasons why the homeowners live in the area. There are also plenty of nooks and unique details through the length of the house.

The construction of the home was a true collaboration with the homeowners. They enjoyed being on site and involved in the process. This created a fluid working relationship with communication moving quickly between the homeowners, project managers, job foreman, and subcontractors. Being so involved allowed the homeowners to identify any potential issues quickly and make timely decisions. This ultimately gave them the home they dreamed of.

The entire south wall is full of windows giving a stunning view of mountains from anywhere in the house. With spectacular views from any room it is tempting to have a seat, kick your feet up, and stay awhile.

The home also features a deck nook, a loft, and beautiful master bath, capturing elements important to the homeowners.

The homeowners added their personal flavor to the house with reclaimed basketball court table tops. During the construction process we learned the courts were reclaimed from the same high school the architect attended.

With G. Little Construction, a homeowner is as involved with the process as they are comfortable with. This allows us to work together to create a truly custom home, designed and build for you.
