We are centered on three principles:

  1. Provide family-wage jobs and a positive work environment to retain highly skilled employees.
  2. Keep the best interests of the customer at the forefront of all decisions.
  3. Create beautiful, well-intended, high quality buildings.

As a result, your building experience with G. Little Construction will see quality as a common trait entwined through the people, the process and the end result. We have always endeavored to execute the best possible iteration of each project we are involved in and have therefore been in the active pursuit of best practices for over 30 years.

We strive towards sustainability not because it is popular, but because it makes for sound building practices. We continue to embrace best practices in the construction of your home with the following goal in mind: Minimize negative human and environmental impacts while searching out opportunities to create positive human and environmental impacts. Our role here is primarily as educators, helping our customers to better understand the broader impact of decisions both large and small.

We truly value the team concept in developing your project. Over the years we have found that having the input of all stakeholders’ leads to the most cohesive building experience and the most unified end product. This includes everyone from architects, engineers and designers to subcontractors and site foremen. Most importantly, there is always a space at the table for you and your input. We are able to accommodate all levels of customer involvement –the role you play is ultimately up to you. Regardless of your level of direct involvement, you can trust that we will protect your best interests at all times. Not only does this apply to your budget and the timely execution of your project, but also the quality and integrity of the end product.

Adoption of best practices can create a significant differentiation amongst builders. How does that get carried out in the day-to-day workings of building your project?

  • Crew – the lead carpenter that starts your project finishes your project. This establishes a pride in workmanship and a sense of personal responsibility that is unwavering, and will ensure that you receive the best final product possible.
  • Project Length – the timelines that we establish for building your project are based on what we know about specific material needs, the region’s weather patterns and our relationships with key trade partners and permitting agencies. This allows us to schedule work in a sequence that maximizes the potential for finishing the project on-time without sacrificing a highly successful end product.
  • Cost – whether we are working under a fixed cost or time and materials contract, we continually review costs to budget and communicate clearly to ensure all parties are aware of the cost impact of final product decisions or changes made during the construction. We believe it’s in the best interest of both parties to avoid any surprises, especially when dealing with costs.

We embrace these principles to fulfill our commitment to construct the best possible building.
